’Keep Her in School’’ .This is an initiative started by the Lets Go Travel to promote responsible tourism through corporate Social Responsibility. We donate sanitary towels to schools and institutions that we support.
This year we partnered with Zanaafarica who we purchased sanitary towels from at a reduced cost.
The purchase of the sanitary towels is done through LGT staff and company contributions.
Zanaafrica is a foundation in Kenya that supports adolescent girls in Kenya to stay in school by providing sanitary towels and delivering reproductive health education.
On the 10th March we visited Body of Christ Centre where we donated sanitary towels to 12 young girls. We know that this donation will go a long way in empowering the young girls, build their confidence as well as restoring their dignity and self-worth.
On the 15th March in line with our a team from Lets Go travelled to Nanyuki to visit 5 schools namely, Kalalu , Ndemu , Gakeu Primary Schools as well as Kalalu Seconday School where we donated eight computers and sanitary towels.
Kalalu Secondary is a school which Lets Go Travel has supported over the years. During the visit we donated sanitary towels to 120 needy students.
Last year we learned of the plight of many girls at the school who missed classes at least 4-5 days due to lack of sanitary towels. This was of great concern to the Ladies at LGT who decided to step in and assist 30 needy form four girls who were to sit for their final exam at the end of the year. We are proud to report that their school attendance in third term was uninterrupted.
We donated sanitary towels for a term to 120 students at Kalalu secondary school.
We targeted girls from form one to form four.

Our target for this year is to assist not only the needy girls but attempt to provide sanitary towels to all the girls at Kalalu Secondary School and the Body of Christ Centre.
