Ngama Hills Tented Camp is a short drive after you enter the Maasai Mara National Reserve at the main gate at Sekenani. The Camp is on the Eastern edge of the Reserve at the base of the Ngama Hills from which it derives its name. Each of the ten spacious tents has a modern ensuite bathroom, hot and cold showers, writing desk and an elevated private balcony for spectacular views of the sunsets and the hills, which have abundant wildlife. The tents have got two double beds each, personal closets, flush toilets and sockets for battery charging for cameras. Delicious meals are served in the dining room, which overlooks the Ngama Hills, or at a special site chosen by the camp. The terrace bar near the fireplace offers the guests an opportunity to enjoy the evening under the stars. The camp Naturalist cum Culturalist will deliver slideshows on wildlife and the Maasai culture in the evenings. The Camp has plans for a large and natural swimming pool with water harvested from the springs. The camp is a champion of Eco-tourism, with solar and wind power in great use. The biodegradable waste mulched for compost manure for use in the vegetable garden and an ongoing tree-planting project. Activities offered include - Maasai Culture and wildlife slideshows and lectures. Maasai village visits. Sundowners on the Ngama Hills. Two game drives in a day with professional Safari Guides. Arrangement for early morning balloon safaris. Fishing trips to Lake Victoria organized at the reception. Bush breakfasts overlooking Ngama Hills. Bush dinners under the stars. Guided Nature walks. Bird walks in the Camp’s nature trail, which is more than a Kilometre.
