Diani lies on the coast approximately 40 kms south of Mombasa and is Kenya's most popular beach resort with many excellent hotels, restaurants and marine sports centres. The beach itself is a long stretch of white sand fringed by palms and other indigenous bush.

Although there are many hotels, most are low-rise and set in large gardens so you do not feel overwhelmed with concrete.

Many hawkers frequent the beach selling their wares.
