Tsavo Safari Camp is set on the banks of the Athi River in Tsavo East National Park with the impressive Yatta Plateau forming a natural backdrop. Guests leave their vehicles one side of the river before crossing by boat to the Camp. There are 15 tents and 4 cottages (all rooms self-contained). All rooms are well-spaced and can be converted to singles, doubles or triples. They have full bathroom facilities with solar heated water and flush toilets. All accommodation is facing the river, with verandas overlooking the river. The thatched bar and dining structure also overlooks the river, striped hyena and porcupine families visit during dinner time! Sundowners and nibbles with campfire by the river, wildlife viewing at night. The food is excellent and atmosphere casual and friendly.
