Kilifi
Kilifi Creek is a major break in the coastline between Mombasa and Malindi, cutting inland for approximately 15 miles. It is popular for water sports, and has abundant bird life. The small, largely Muslim town of Kilifi lies on the north side of the creek.
There is a pleasant white beach to the north of the creek, along which are a couple of tourist class hotels. Another good tourist hotel lies on the south side of the creek mouth but the area is mostly one of private homes.
