Beyt Al Chai is a beautiful boutique hotel located in the Stone Town on the island of Zanzibar. Built on 3 floors, this traditional house was at one time a tea house. Perfectly located on the famous Kelele Square, the Beyt Al Chai allows you to experience the ambiance of the famous Stone Town while uniquely allowing you to find the peace and tranquility of over looking a beautiful grassy square filled with hibiscus and tamarind trees to the Indian Ocean beyond. Only a few paces from the sea, the house is cool and breezy and the top floor bedrooms have a wonderful sea view. Each of the six fully en-suite bedrooms and suites are unique. The rooms are fully air conditioned with modern sanitary facilities and plenty of the character that you might expect from an antique building. In order to maintain the character of this antique building, there are no bars or restaurants, but there are a good selection of hotels and restaurants that are within easy walking distance. There is, however, a beautiful and bright breakfast courtyard, and drinks are available in the living room .
