Visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, take a boat trip on the Kasinga Channel. The Queen Elizabeth National Park is an area rich in contrast - lakes, forest, swamp and savannah, home to elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, the curious Uganda Kob, waterbuck, bushbuck, hippo, topi, giant forest hog, mongoose, monitor lizards, chimpanzees, the black and white colobus monkeys and many others. The bird life is as varied and spectacular.

Depart Kampala driving westwards early morning, with a stopover at the Equator for photos. Don’t miss the Mpigi Drum Makers where you will watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. Passing through papyrus swamps and tracts of tropical rainforests and the rolling plains of Ankole, enjoy lunch in Mbarara, the “home of milk and honey”. Continue on your drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, FB.

Get up ready for a 6.30 am morning game drive. The park’s diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast. After lunch go for the afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Dinner and overnight Mweya Safari Lodge.

Optional short game drive this morning if you missed any particular game that you want to check out for. Return to the lodge for breakfast before setting of for Kampala. Arrival in Kampala, evening. Note: Launch Trip on the Kazinga Channel: Launch Trip on the Kazinga Channel: A boat trip along the hippo crowded banks of Kazinga Channel gives visitors a unique unequalled wildlife experience. Eye to eye with yawning hippos and surrounded by vast numbers of migrant and resident water birds, the boat puts one right in the heart of nature. Many buffaloes rest in the water while the big herds of elephant enjoy themselves drinking and playing along the Channel banks. Crocodiles have become a common sight and occasionally leopards may be seen.
