The Cottar Safari tradition began in 1919. 80 years on, we continue to provide an unparalleled safari experience to discerning clients in Africa. Extending an era of luxury and quality, We return to the original spirit and essence of ‘safari’, reminiscent of a golden era – an era of romance, professional guiding, adventure and elegance. Situated in the Masai Mara, bordering the Serengeti and Loliondo reserves in an untouched 250,000 acre area, Cottars ensures the client both privacy and an abundance of wildlife.

The camp accommodates up to 16 guests in authentic, spacious white canvas tents. The camp has eight tents, each with a canopied verandah and carefully arranged to ensure privacy. Each tent is luxuriously furnished with safari antiques from the 1920’s, private ensuite dressing rooms/bathrooms, showers and flush toilets. The camp is equipped with a tented library/reading room and the cuisine and silver service is of the highest standard to be found in the bush. Each tent has its own private butler.
