'Hakuna Majiwe' means 'place without stones'. As individual as its name, this beach hotel has a special atmosphere. Set on a fabulous 6 kilometre white-sand palm fringed and deserted beach, cooled by the ocean breeze. The Hakuna Majiwe Lodge is located between Paje and Jambiani, on the South East Coast of Zanzibar. The hotel consists of 18 rooms in beach bungalows, facing the ocean. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with hot water, double or twin beds with mosquito nets, ceiling fans and a spacious veranda. All rooms are big enough for extra beds, perfect for families. The rooms have all been individually designed to offer style, comfort and personality. The beach restaurant offers local and international cuisine, with an emphasis on Italian specialities. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of beers, South African wines and liquors at the bar. During low tide you can enjoy the waters of the 27 metre swimming pool. For the active, there is a range of activities: snorkeling trips to the nearby reef, swimming with dolphins at Kizimkazi, deep sea fishing, bicycle, motorbike and car rental, Spice, City and Jozani Forest Tours.
