The country club adopts its name from the native Luganda word 'akabira.' Unlike 'Mabira' which means big forest, "kabiira" is often used to describe a group of trees or a small forest. The country club itself is located in the secluded area on top of Bukoto Hill with a picturesque view of the splash green hills of Kololo. It has natural full-grown trees that add splendor and tranquility to it, hence the name. Kabira Country Club is the most prestigious health and fitness complex in Uganda. The fitness facilities are excellent, with state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment and free weights, as well as the latest gym machines. With nutritional advice, program planning and personal trainers we offer real added value to our members. As well as the gym, facilities include squash courts, three swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball court and a fully equipped health suite, including jacuzzis and saunas in the changing rooms. It also offers a wide range of fitness and holistic classes including Yoga and Pilates, to the more energetic Body Pump and Spinning classes. As a family-orientated club, it caters for children in a special children's area - designed to keep them more than happy. The Club has a ubiquitous bar and café for you to relax, chill out and meet friends after your hard workout.
