Perched at 2,400 mtrs. on the edge of the Kinangop Plateau, 2 hours drive from Nairobi, Trees offers a haven from the stress and strains of city life. Backed by the Aberdare Mountains and grasslands of the Kinangop, Trees offers breathtaking views across the Rift Valley. The farm provides a sanctuary for highland birds, including the threatened Sharpe's Longclaw, many of which may be seen from the veranda. Up to eleven sunbird species may be seen in the garden, especially when the aloes are in bloom. There is ample scope to explore, on the farm and further a field with hiking or cycling along the escarpment or across the plateau. This special place is perfect for birding, walking or just relaxing. Accommodation at Trees is rustic but comfortable. There are two double rooms, with an extra bed and a cot, spacious living and dining room with fireplace, a substantial verandah and large kitchen. Mattresses and duvets are provided, but guests must bring their own towels and sheets. Trees is self catering so bring your own food and drink.
