Meal Plan Full Board
Kitich Camp lies on the Ngeng River in the southern part of the Mathews, a remote mountain range that rises from the flat thorn-scrubbed savanna of Kenya's northern frontier district. With just four twin tents, and a uniquely back-to-nature approach to game viewing, Kitich Camp offers guests the opportunity to learn how to track and stalk game on foot with the Samburu. Also on offer are visits to authentic local Samburu families, bush picnics and bird walks.
The Camp is discreetly sited within a grove of huge fig trees on the river bank with the dining tent and fire circle on the river's edge and ten guest tents strung out either side. Each tent is set on a compacted sand plinth with a verandah in front and bathroom tent behind. Lighting consists of candles and hurricane lamps.
Activities can be carried out at any time of day, tailored to suit guests’ needs and wants. These include escorted and guided game stalking, Natural swimming pool, Bird watching, Bush picnics, visit to local Samburu families and on occasion the Samburu market.
Closed April, May, 1st June - 15th June and November.
