  • You drive in the morning to your base hotel for lunch and then onto your Treehotel for the evening watching game, dinner and overnight.

  • Drive around the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains and down the escarpment into the Great Rift Valley for lunch, the afternoon to relax, swim, enjoy a boat ride, bird walk or game view, depending upon the lake visited, dinner and overnight

  • Your safari continues across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game Reserve for lunch, an afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight. The Mara is one of Kenya's most popular game reserves as most species of game found in the country live on its well-watered plains.

  • Morning and afternoon game drives to look for the 'big five’ with meals and overnight at your lodge or camp.

  • Depart after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi where you will connect to the flight to Mombasa. On arrival in Mombasa you are met and transferred to your beach hotel for accommodation on half board basis.

  • Two days at leisure at your beach hotel with accommodation on half board basis.

  • Upon checking out, you will be transferred to the Airport for your flight back to Nairobi where the safari will come to an end.

  • The High Season falls between Jan – Mar & July – 15 Dec whereas the low season falls between Apr – Jun. During Low season, a rate of US$400 is DEDUCTED from the advertised rates below and a rate of US$185 deducted for the Single room supplement.

  • Drive north of Nairobi through smallholdings of the Kikuyu, Kenya’s largest tribe, en route to your base hotel for lunch and then onto a Treehotel for overnight

  • Continue north across the Equator before losing altitude as you gently descend into Kenya’s arid Northern Frontier District and travel on to Samburu Game Reserve for lunch, an afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight.

  • A full day game viewing to look for the 'big five' and the various species of game found, in Kenya, only in the northern parks.

  • Drive with a picnic lunch across the Northern Frontier District to Lake Baringo, a fresh water Rift Valley lake, famous for its magnificent birdlife. Dinner and overnight at a hotel on the lakeshore.

  • Continue across the floor of the Rift Valley to your hotel overlooking either Lake Nakuru, Elementaita or Naivasha for lunch, the afternoon, dinner and overnight.

  • After breakfast depart for the Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch, an afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight.

  • Morning and afternoon game drives to search for some of the game perhaps not yet seen. Meals and overnight in the Mara.

  • After an early morning game drive and breakfast, return to Nairobi where you will be dropped off at the Airport for your onward flight to the Kenya Coast. On arrival at the Mombasa Airport you are met and transferred to your beach hotel where you will be accommodated on half board basis.

  • Three days is spent at leisure at your beach hotel with accommodation on half board basis.

  • After checking out you will be transferred to the Mombasa Airport for your flight back to Nairobi (where you will connect to your flight back home or stay overnight depending on arrangements) and safari comes to an end.

  • 09.00 pickup from hotel and transfer by safari minibus to Amboseli Porini Camp (a 4 hour journey of 102 miles), arriving at Porini Camp before lunch. Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Maasai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Then take a game drive in the conservancy followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Kilimanjaro. Night game drive and return to camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, we drive through the bush on our private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. Following a picnic lunch in the park, we return to Porini Camp later in the afternoon. In the evening you will go on a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats, and other species. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Early breakfast and then drive through Amboseli park to the airstrip for the 0945 Safarilink flight to Wilson, connecting onto the 1020 flight to Nanyuki, arriving at 1240. You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then head off to look for rhino with your driver-guide in the camp’s 4x4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp. Overnight Porini Rhino Camp.

  • Depart Porini Rhino Camp and fly from Nanyuki on the 09.45 Safarilink flight to Mara arriving at 11.00. You will be met and transferred to Porini Lion Camp. Lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then go on a game drive or escorted walk followed by a sundowner and night drive with spotlight. Return to Porini Lion Camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Full day in the Maasai Mara National Park with picnic lunch. Overnight Porini Lion Camp.

  • Final early morning game drive and then depart on the 11.00 Safarilink flight to Wilson arriving back to Nairobi at 12.15.

  • Awake to the natural sounds and calls of the local birdlife. After breakfast transfer to Nairobi for lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant. Then transfer to Wilson Airport for the afternoon flight to the Mara, arriving around 15.45. Transfer to Mara Porini Camp. Afternoon game drive, followed by a sundowner and night game drive on the way back to Camp. Dinner and overnight Mara Porini Camp.

  • Morning walk in the conservancy. After breakfast drive across the Mara to Porini Lion Camp in the Olare Orok Conservancy adjacent to the Mara Reserve, arriving before lunch. Afternoon game drives in 4x4 vehicles within the game rich Mara ecosystem followed by a sundowner then dinner and overnight at Porini Lion Camp.

Maasai Mara Big Cat Porini Safari

This 4 night / 5 day safari includes stays at two small eco-camps located inside exclusive wildlife conservancies in the Maasai Mara eco-system which are reserved solely for the camps’ guests. Game drives are in open-sided 4x4 safari vehicles, with experienced Maasai safari guides, to look for the Big Cats in the park and the conservancies. Night game drives offered at both camps allow you the opportunity to be out when the Big Cats are most active.

  • Depart Nairobi at 10 am for the one hour flight to the Mara. You'll be met at the Siana airstrip by Mara Porini staff and transferred to camp. Settle into your tent and enjoy lunch prepared by the camp chef. Afternoon game drive in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot. Return to camp for a shower, dinner and overnight.

  • Awake to the natural sounds of the Mara's birdlife. After an early breakfast, go on a morning walk in the Conservancy escorted by Maasai warriors and a guide, returning to camp later in the morning. In the afternoon you will go on a game drive to explore more of the Ol Kinyei Conservancy on the lookout for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, plains game and the big cats, followed by a night game drive after dinner to search for nocturnal animals including the elusive leopards which are resident in Ol Kinyei.

  • Early breakfast and then spend the full day driving through the Maasai Mara Reserve and game-viewing, with a picnic lunch in the park en route. Continue on to Olare Orok Conservancy arriving at Porini Lion Camp later in the afternoon. In the evening take a short drive in the Olare Orok Conservancy for a sundowner before dinner and overnight in camp.

  • Morning and afternoon game drives in the exclusive Olare Orok Conservancy, away from the minibuses and tourist vehicles seen in the park, and with an excellent chance of sighting lions, cheetahs and leopards all of which are found in the conservancy.

  • Final early morning game drive in the Olare Orok Conservancy followed by breakfast and then drive into the park to the Ol Kiombo airstrip to fly back on the 11 a.m. flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi, arriving at around 12.05 pm.

  • There is an option of spending an additional night at Porini Lion Camp with game drives in the Olare Orok conservancy or the Maasai Mara Reserve at an extra cost.Also, camps are closed between 16th April - 31st May

Mikumi Safari
