This 4 night, 5 day Safari combines two of Kenya’s finest wildlife areas:

* Ol Pejeta Conservancy, the largest rhino conservancy in East Africa in a vast tract of wilderness within the Laikipia area, overlooking snow-capped Mount Kenya. Elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard all present.
* The Mara, famous for the spectacular wildebeest migration between June and October every year and excellent for lion and cheetah.

Accommodation is in two camps that complement each other perfectly – staying first at Porini Rhino Camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, followed by Porini Lion Camp in the Olare Orok Conservancy adjacent to the Mara Reserve. The Safari Camps are small and exclusive and run on the same environmentally sound principles - working closely with the local communities. All camps are specially designed to have minimum impact with no permanent structures.

Schedule: 


  • Depart Wilson airport on 10.20 flight to Nanyuki, arriving at approximately 12.40. You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya.Lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then head off to look for rhino with your driver-guide in the camp’s 4x4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp. Sundowner from scenic viewpoint and return to Camp for dinner.
    Overnight Porini Rhino Camp.

  • Depart Porini Rhino Camp and fly from Nanyuki on the 09.45 Safarilink flight to Mara arriving at 11.00. You will be met and transferred to Porini Lion Camp. Lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then go on a game drive or escorted walk followed by a sundowner and night drive with spotlight. Return to Porini Lion Camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Full day in the Maasai Mara National Reserve with picnic lunch. Overnight Porini Lion Camp.

  • Final early morning game drive in the conservancy followed by breakfast and then depart on the 11.00am flight to Wilson arriving back to Nairobi at 1215.

Schedule: 


  • 09.00 pickup from hotel and transfer by safari minibus to Amboseli Porini Camp (a 4 hour journey of 102 miles), arriving at Porini Camp before lunch. Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Maasai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Then take a game drive in the conservancy followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Kilimanjaro. Night game drive and return to camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, we drive through the bush on our private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. Following a picnic lunch in the park, we return to Porini Camp later in the afternoon. In the evening you will go on a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats, and other species. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Early breakfast and then drive through Amboseli park to the airstrip for the 0945 Safarilink flight to Wilson, connecting onto the 1020 flight to Nanyuki, arriving at 1240. You will be met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. Lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then head off to look for rhino with your driver-guide in the camp’s 4x4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp for dinner and overnight.

  • Full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp. Overnight Porini Rhino Camp.

  • Depart Porini Rhino Camp and fly from Nanyuki back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport .

Maasai Mara Big Cat Porini Safari

This 4 night / 5 day safari includes stays at two small eco-camps located inside exclusive wildlife conservancies in the Maasai Mara eco-system which are reserved solely for the camps’ guests. Game drives are in open-sided 4x4 safari vehicles, with experienced Maasai safari guides, to look for the Big Cats in the park and the conservancies. Night game drives offered at both camps allow you the opportunity to be out when the Big Cats are most active.

  • Depart Nairobi at 10 am for the one hour flight to the Mara. You'll be met at the Siana airstrip by Mara Porini staff and transferred to camp. Settle into your tent and enjoy lunch prepared by the camp chef. Afternoon game drive in the Ol Kinyei Conservancy, followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot. Return to camp for a shower, dinner and overnight.

  • Awake to the natural sounds of the Mara's birdlife. After an early breakfast, go on a morning walk in the Conservancy escorted by Maasai warriors and a guide, returning to camp later in the morning. In the afternoon you will go on a game drive to explore more of the Ol Kinyei Conservancy on the lookout for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, plains game and the big cats, followed by a night game drive after dinner to search for nocturnal animals including the elusive leopards which are resident in Ol Kinyei.

  • Early breakfast and then spend the full day driving through the Maasai Mara Reserve and game-viewing, with a picnic lunch in the park en route. Continue on to Olare Orok Conservancy arriving at Porini Lion Camp later in the afternoon. In the evening take a short drive in the Olare Orok Conservancy for a sundowner before dinner and overnight in camp.

  • Morning and afternoon game drives in the exclusive Olare Orok Conservancy, away from the minibuses and tourist vehicles seen in the park, and with an excellent chance of sighting lions, cheetahs and leopards all of which are found in the conservancy.

  • Final early morning game drive in the Olare Orok Conservancy followed by breakfast and then drive into the park to the Ol Kiombo airstrip to fly back on the 11 a.m. flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi, arriving at around 12.05 pm.

  • There is an option of spending an additional night at Porini Lion Camp with game drives in the Olare Orok conservancy or the Maasai Mara Reserve at an extra cost.Also, camps are closed between 16th April - 31st May

Gorilla Trek Bwindi Uganda

Gorilla Tracking in the Impenetrable Forest, Bwindi for a day. Visit Traditional Drum makers at Mbara. Accommodation in a tented camp. Recently gazetted as a National Park, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is home to over half the world's population of mountain gorillas. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to visitors. Two groups of gorillas have been habituated to the presence of people. The birdlife is rich and although forest birds are difficult to view, species such as the colourful Ruwenzori turaco may be seen. Upmarket.

  • Depart Kampala early in the morning after breakfast at 0830am and drive southwest with a brief stopover at the Mpigi Royal drum makers en route where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations, and at the Uganda Equator for photographs. Drive through Savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long curving horns.You then ascend into the Kigezi highlands, with terraced farming and mountain scenery usually known as the "Switzerland of Africa". Drive through Kabale Town and continue on to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for dinner and overnight � tented camp.
  • Enter the forest at dawn and enjoy the beauty and freshness of the forest, home to the more than half of the world's left mountain gorillas. After a short briefing by the guides, proceed through the dense bush to trek for these endangered animals. Other primates also live in the forest including the black and white Colobus monkey. Return to Buhoma for dinner and overnight.
  • Day in the forest with option of second gorilla permit. This must be pre booked.
  • Depart Bwindi for Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, the lake famous for its little birds and from which the name 'Bunyonyi' originates, renowned for its variety and abundance of avian. Enjoy a local canoe ride on this beautiful narrow lake surrounded by green hills. Dinner and overnight at Far Out Camp.
  • You return to Kampala stopping for lunch en route and arriving in Kampala in the late afternoon.
  • This is the major activity in Bwindi, with four gorilla groups currently available daily for tourists. Mubare group (10 gorillas, 1 silverback) was opened for tourism in 1993, Habinyanja group (18 gorillas, 1 silverback) opened in July 1998, Rushegura group (10 gorillas, 1 silverback) was opened in July 2002, while Nkuringo group (19 gorillas, 2 silverbacks) was opened for tourism in April 2004. Book at least 6 months (but not more than two years) in advance to ensure that requested dates are available. Gorilla tracking in Bwindi can be challenging, therefore ensure fitness. Gorilla tracking experience starts at 8.30 am local time and can last from a few hours to a whole day! Registration at the gate commences at 7.45 am. What to bring: • Wear jungle shoes suitable for steep muddy slopes and carry a rain jacket because the park is often wet. • Put on ear plugs for those who feel uncomfortable with jungle sounds. • Carry rain gear, sunscreen lotion, a hat (as the weather is unpredictable) and insect repellant. • Carry a packed lunch.

  • Depart early morning for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The park derives its name from its thick vegetation with an immense variety of evergreen trees, festooned with lianas, epiphytes, which reach great heights in their search for sunlight plus half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Community Centre, FB.
  • GORILLA TREKKING, this is it, this is the day you have been waiting for. Get up for an early breakfast and off you go on your adventure, after the gorillas. Imagine coming less than 5 metres close to these primates. It won’t be easy but it certainly will be worth it. Overnight at Buhoma Community Centre, FB.
  • Depart Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi and overnight on Bushara Island on full board basis.
  • Enjoy swimming, bird watching or island hopping in the morning. After lunch depart back to Kampala.

Game and luxury! A safari to a Treehotel for night game viewing, through the harsh and arid northern game reserve of Samburu to the splendour and luxury of the famous Mount Kenya Safari Club at the foothills of snow-capped Mount Kenya.

Schedule: 


  • Travel in the morning to your base hotel for lunch and on to a Treehotel for an evening of game viewing, dinner and overnight.
  • Cross the Equator and foothills of Mount Kenya as you drive north to Samburu Game Reserve for lunch, an afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight.
  • Game viewing to look for the various species of game unique to Kenya's northern parks Beisa oryx, blue-shanked Somali ostrich, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and long-necked gerenuk. Meals and overnight in Samburu.
  • Drive to Mount Kenya Safari Club, at the base of Mount Kenya, for lunch, the afternoon at leisure to enjoy a game of golf, horseriding or relaxing in the lovely grounds of this prestigous Club. Dinner and overnight at Mount Kenya Safari Club. Please note that the dress code for dinner at Mount Kenya Safari Club is smart casual in the main dining room and tie and jacket for gentlemen and equivalent smart dress for ladies in the Members dining room.
  • After breakfast return to Nairobi arriving before lunch.
  • BUDGET - There is an option of using less expensive accommodation on this safari which is termed 'Budget' in the pricing shown below.

  • You drive in the morning to your base hotel for lunch and then onto your Treehotel for the evening watching game, dinner and overnight.
  • Drive around the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains and down the escarpment into the Great Rift Valley for lunch, the afternoon to relax, swim, enjoy a boat ride, bird walk or game view, depending upon the lake visited, dinner and overnight.
  • Your safari continues across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara Game Reserve for lunch, an afternoon game drive, dinner and overnight. The Mara is one of Kenya's most popular game reserves as most species of game found in the country live on its well-watered plains.
  • Morning and afternoon game drives to look for the 'big five' with meals and overnight at your lodge or camp.
  • Depart after breakfast for Nairobi arriving before lunch.
