Kweisos House
"Kweisos" means the place of palms in the local language of Kipsigis. Kweisos House consists of the original wooden farm house that was built in the 1920s, together with an outside "banda" and a new block of 2 en-suite bedrooms. The house can accommodate up to 14 people, with the possibility of a couple of extra beds for children.
Situated in the lush hills above the surrounding sugarcane plantations of the Koru area, at Home Lime, about an hours drive from Kisumu town, or from Kericho.
All linen, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are supplied, and you are able to enjoy traditional farmhouse cooking. If you prefer to cater for yourself, you may take the house on a self catering basis. You are free to walk or drive around the 3000 acre estate at your leisure, and enjoy superb bird watching, walking and fishing the small dams for tilapia, catfish or bass. A guide is available to take you to the waterfall, dams and the Arboretum.
There is a heated swimming pool at the house, close by at Green Hills, there are tennis and badminton courts, and horse riding is also available. It is possible to arrange fishing for perch on Lake Victoria, of for trout in the dams near Kericho. Golf courses are within an hours drive in Kisumu, Kericho and Nandi Hills.

Sosian Ranch House
Sosian, the Samburu word for the wild date palm, combines the tame with the wild. A 24,000-acre working ranch in the center of the vast Laikipia plateau, it supports a wide diversity of wildlife and birds and is home to four of the Big Five, as well as a host of other large mammals, including cheetah and the rare wild dog. The scenery is stunning, with views to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya, the Aberdares to the south and the cedar-clad Karisia Hills to the north. The Ewaso Narok River, running through the southern section of the ranch, boasts lovely waterfalls.
The old ranch house built in the 1940s by Italian artisans has been renovated to welcome small groups of discerning visitors looking for a unique and intimate bush experience. The ranch house sits at the heart of the ranch, surrounded by seven double cottages that can accommodate up to 14 people. A comfortable sitting and dining area overlooks the garden with views of the wide Ewaso Narok river basin. The lodge's unique swimming pool is but a few steps a way, offering a refreshing and relaxing way to spend the afternoon.Guest may choose a wide variety of activities including horse back riding, game drives, guided walks, birdwatching, day trips to nearby attractions, or just relaxing. From the ranch house, guests can watch the sun rise on the pale blue outline of jagged Mount Kenya or enjoy sun downers on the verandah while swifts dart over the lawn in the soft light of the African dusk.
Activities:One of the best ways to experience the African bush is on a horse and Sosian provides horses for guests to use. After riding along the lovely Ewaso Narok, visitors can cool off by swimming in the river or jumping off one of the waterfalls into a big pool of water nearly 30 feet below! Other activities include camel safaris, day and night game drives, guided bird and clay pigeon shooting, and fishing. Guests are also welcome to participate in daily ranching activities like dipping and branding, calving and doctoring livestock, and learn about the challenges of ranching in such a harsh and untamed environment.
Sabuk Lodge
Sabuk is remote and beautiful... an alluring haven on the edge of the Northern Frontier District. Perched on a cliff overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, which flows past camp year-round. Sabuk offers stunning views of the Laikipia plains towards Mount Kenya and northwards to the Karissia Hills.
Perched high on the riverbanks, Sabuk’s 5 cottages are open at the front with stunning views of the river and cliffs. Each thatched rondavel (circular cottage) has its own unique design, crafted from local stone and ancient cedar and olivewood, gathered from the local area. En-suite bathrooms, modern flush toilets and a private verandah with a view make each cottage a haven in itself.
Sabuk works closely with the community. The Laikipiak Maasai share their tribal and bush craft skills, giving fire lighting demonstrations, tracking animal spoor, pointing out the medicinal and other uses of the local flora, teaching a new way of looking at the wilderness surrounding you.
Guests staying at the lodge can enjoy a taste of a full camel safari with half and full day bush walks with camels, led by the trained Laikipiak Maasai Guides across the dry-lake bed or following the river path across the plains.
